Question:Installing SugarCRM on the spikesource stack
Question of the Week #1
I am new to opensource and downloaded spikesource and installed the SugarCRM pack which went smoothly enough. When my browser started at the end to run SugarCRM I got the "Page not found" screen up. I read the troubleshooting bit but it didn't help really so I have attached the install log in the hope you can help..
Answer
The trouble seems to be with Apache.
C:\Program Files\SugarCRM\oss\httpd\bin>apache -k install apache: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 192. 168.123.101 for ServerName no listening sockets available, shutting down Unable to open logs
C:\Program Files\SugarCRM\oss\httpd\bin>apache -k start [Sat Aug 27 10:15:50 2005] [error] (OS 2)The system cannot find the file specified. : No installed service named "Apache2".
In order to install Apache you will need to shut this server down. You should be able to do this through the Services control panel -- if you run into problems or need help in identifying the right service, let me know and I'll try to write up some directions for how to do that.
Alternately, I'm pretty sure you can install and configure the Apache httpd server to use a different port number. It probably just requires editing the appropriate line in the httpd.conf file, then running the command "apache -k install" command that is found in the install-services.bat file, but if that's the path you want to try and you need more specific steps, let me know and I'd be happy to write up the details on how to do that.
