Welcome Letter from Murugan Pal

Fellow Developers and Testers,

Welcome to the DevZone.

SpikeSource is here to advance the art of component integration, interoperability validation,
process automation and operational optimization for our customers. Now that we have
established our internal frameworks we are ready to offer an open and collaborative framework
for developers, co-existing with other developer sites and filling in where gaps exist. Please join us.

We want you to be successful in using open source. Our connector program will also enable
you to find others with your same interests in your own home town.
Many community sites cater to an individual component or a specific language. They are
very good when it comes to their specific expertise. We plan to help address integration and
interoperability issues, such as LAMP, WAMP or LAMJ as integrated stacks.
Our test farm will help you test new patches and flag regression issues automatically to save
you time.
We offer a common platform to collaborate on software service frameworks such as stack
installers and upgrade managers.
Just as travel, online shopping and finance have one stop shopping, we'll offer a one-stop
resource to search bug databases, or test results, configuration settings and error reports.

Our goal for the DevZone is to:

  1. Cater to the needs of integrated components and interoperability
  2. Help test bug fixes, patches and generic enhancements
  3. Help develop common frameworks for installation, updates and upgrades
  4. Create an ecosystem for developers to integrate and stage solutions with open source stacks
  5. Federate and aggregate services for one stop shopping for "developer needs"

– This site is built for developers by developers. We invite you to:

  1. Experience our services and let us know your feedback
  2. Collaborate and Interact with fellow community developers
  3. Upload your tests, stage new solutions, and integrate new solutions
  4. Refer your friends and colleagues, if you find our services useful
  5. Help us compile requirements for new services that will make you productive

Love to hear your feedback.

Together we grow,

Murugan Pal
